The French Championship regenerates

published 03/01/14

We had to change our initials directions (guidance) which circulated before their officialization to safeguard the interests of our drivers concerning a cost of acceptable entry on one hand and on the other hand to support the European Championship of Superkart which will be restricted, passing from one state of plethora of events (4) - that affected the budgets- to a shortage in 2014 with only two events in Netherlands (Assen) and in France.

The FFSA is applying for the usual event of Val de Vienne to be retained as European round. We indeed wanted to change exceptionally the “turnover” of the two tracks used regularly (In France for Europe) and renew the sporting aspect. The drivers who previously participated in this step in Poitou of the French Championship will have maybe a light advantage, that’s to adjust itself faster. This circuit is adapted well in most drivers’ opinion to this discipline.

As probably you do not know it, the CIK code limits to only one competition outside its territory any ASN (National Sporting Association thus here the FFSA). So we opted to include Assen instead of Hockenheim in the national schedule. By fairness and by logic, we have done the same for the Val de Vienne knowing that there will be no other CIK event. These choices established, we have revised accordingly the rest of the program with surprises date and meeting to try as much as possible to distribute these events during the season.

Both CIK events 2014 will therefore be included in the French Open Championship as we have tried out it at Le Mans in 2013. Obviously you will not pay twice. The cost of the annual entry with the FFSA takes into account it and is based on the cost of four other events. (These two events are to be paid directly to the CIK). We shall communicate with you later all the details.
